The community of St. Paul Lutheran participates in several ministries throughout Reading and the greater Cincinnati community. These ministries are always evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of our community.
Tender Mercies transforms the lives of homeless adults with mental illness by providing security, dignity, and community in a place they call home. The members of St. Paul Lutheran provide support in a variety of ways including helping with community upkeep, meals and calling bingo once a month. It is amazing to see the delight and appreciation on the faces of the residents of Tender Mercies.
Cincinnati Children’s NICU Support
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14) Supporting children in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital with clothes, bottles, blankets and similar needs is a way that we live out our Savior’s commandment.
Valley Interfaith Food and Clothing Center serves the residents of Reading, Lockland, Wyoming and surrounding communities. Supporting this community driven mission through various food drives and individual donations of clothing, blankets and other goods helps our neighbors when they are most in need. We partner with other members of the Reading Church Council and others in supporting this valuable mission. Through their partnerships with local businesses and organizations, Valley Interfaith is able to turn each dollar of donation into $13 of food for the pantry to help our needy neighbors.
